Hey, I have been playing guitar for a while, but I am trying to write songs, and they sound like crap if it is not in the right key. Can someone help me by telling me what keys there are and really, how to play them?

if I get a new amplifier, does it have to be a monsoon which came with it? Or can I use something different? He said it needs to be a factory one, its a 2003 VW Beetle Turbo S.

I know that obviously you plug the transmitter into your guitar and like the Receiver in the amp but how do they work if you use foot switches. I know that the ampfoot switchh is alright because it is already connected to the amp but what about pedal boards and stuff what do you plug in to them.

I have a Peavey tube combo amplifier that has one stock 16 ohm speaker that came with it. I was thinking of replacing it with a Celestion speaker rated at 8 ohms, which I took out of a 75 watt solid state line 6 spider 3 combo amp. Both are 12 inches. Is this possible without any resulting compromises? If there are, what are they?
Amplifier: Peavey Valveking 112 Combo, has a stock 16 ohm speaker, wattage unknown. Manufacturer says it is 4, 8, or 16 ohms as stated here: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Peavey-ValveKing-112-Combo-Amp-104003397-i1145634.gc – what does this mean?
Speaker: Celestion G12P80 rated at 8 ohm (taken out from a 75 watt solid state amp)

Well I have just bought an Ibanez IBZ10G.
I hear some annoying noise whose intensity grows proportionally to the amount of gain.
It sound fine on clean( no gain) but there’s still a Continuously noise, but not so noticeable.
Also, whenever I touch a string I can hear an annoying noise that lasts for about 1 second.

I can’t afford lessons. I want to get a nice acoustic with the money from the guitar and pay for the lessons from the money I get selling the amp. Good Idea?
I know guys prolly like eletric more, butgirls like the acoustic. Once I get REALLY good I’ll prolly get an eletric again. So what do you think?

What does it mean to “ground an amp”, or “ground an input jack” I’ve read a couple forums and people suggest doing that to fix amp buzzing problems. It might be that something isn’t grounded properly around my house because at my friend’s house, my amp works perfect. So what does it mean to have an amp grounded? What IS ground?? Thanks
